Vicinity is one of Australia’s leading retail property groups managing over $20 billion worth of retail assets worldwide. Priority recently had the opportunity to partner with Vicinity to complete the refurbishment of the Grand Plaza food court in Browns Plains.
As the Grand Plaza Shopping Centre was operational throughout the entire project, it was essential that the works were staged in such a way that it caused minimal disruption to the food court tenants. Therefore, the Priority team had to methodically follow their program of works to guarantee that each stage was completed on time and to budget.
The old tiles were removed to make way for a octagonal pattern of modern ceramic and timber effect tiles. New joinery and furniture were strategically installed around the octagonal feature, which increased the seating capacity by 10 percent, whilst making for a great focal point.
In addition to the new contemporary design and finishes, the Grand Plaza food court also received a technology upgrade. Boasting eleven state of the art digital play panels for the kids to keep entertained on, as well as, charging stations with USB and power outlets for the ‘older kids’ to charge their devices while out and about shopping.
The results speak for themselves – Click here to watch the time lapse video of this project.
