W.R. Berkley Insurance Australia is part of a global insurance model founded on expert local underwriting, fair and fast claims handling and financial strength.
They found that the time was right to relocate their Brisbane team from serviced offices to a purpose-designed space where their business model could be carried out more efficiently.
W.R. Berkley wanted their workspace to be a place where their staff and visitors felt comfortable, whilst still conveying their professionalism. The interior window partitions are frosted with the owls found in their logo, drawing on their catchphrase of being “the wise choice.” In keeping with this focus on life, growth and steadfast reliability, the office incorporates natural, earth tones and materials throughout. The boardroom is quite sophisticated with soft, dark leather chairs, and the adjacent waiting room portrays elegance with comfortable, inviting green and white chairs, a timber pendant light and tile flooring.
The neutral palette lends sophistication to the front of house formal spaces and provides contrast to the open and fresh workstation space and homely kitchen. The staff kitchen features soft greens in the lampshades as well as a light-coloured timber used in chairs, the table and joinery, as well as wood flooring. Workstation screens feature an earthy brown colour, lending the entire office space a feeling of friendliness and professional stylishness.
W.R. Berkley is thrilled with their new modern and understated office. Their team is now able to work out of a space that clearly communicates their brand as “the wise choice” and conveys their history of reliability and quality to their customers.
