The first stage of the refurbishment works consisted of two floor plates on level two and six. Our designers created a sophisticated, minimalistic concept for the fitouts, with neutral colours and natural elements used throughout.

The design recognises the functional requirements of the workplace structure, while providing an open and collaborative environment that is consistent with Thiess’ values. Similarly, the products and materials utilised within the fitouts reflect the company’s corporate image, with heavy use of timber and black metal that provides a warm and earthy feel. Distinct, panoramic South Brisbane views accompanied by an abundance of natural light and indoor plants promote the ambience, as well as, employee productivity and morale.

The layouts on both floors have been designed in such a way that the respective areas are easily defined by the use of different materials, lighting and colours. The linear form and materials selected, naturally leads visitors and staff through the space. Ceilings within the tenancies are a main focal point, with diamond geometric batten ceilings in the kitchen and breakout areas, whilst black timber battening is featured in the private boardrooms, meeting rooms and collaborative spaces.

Overall, this multi-use space is highly integrated and timeless; the quality finishes and detailing add a sense of luxury to both Thiess levels.
