Pedal With Priority

Monday, 13 Jul

2015 marks the 5th year of the Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer and has seen over $17.9 million in vital funds raised for QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.

Over the last 4 years, 66 new research projects have been solely funded by the proceeds of the ride and significant developments in cancer research have been achieved.

In August, our group of keen cyclists will Pedal with Priority and join thousands of men and women in the 2015 Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer.  The two day, 200km ride will begin at UQ St Lucia campus and ride through the picturesque countryside of Queensland.  Day one concludes at the Canungra Sports and Recreation Grounds at the foot of Mount Tamborine where the evening is spent socialising with other riders and supporters at the RTCC campsite. On day two, riders will make the return journey towards the finish line at UQ St Lucia where cheering onlookers, family and friends will be waiting to help celebrate the end of this epic journey and the amazing impact in the quest to conquer cancer.

We’ve set a goal of raising $20,000 and need your help.  Click here to donate to this very worthwhile cause.

If you would like to get on a bike and ride with our boys, please contact Claire Hepburn on 3366 2533 or All cycling team members will be provided with a Priority kit including cycling apparel.
